This 3-days Uganda gorilla tour takes you gorillas trekking to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, with another opportunity to see over 10 other primates including chimpanzees, black and white colobus, red tailed monkeys, etc. Bwindi Impenetrable NP is a natural world heritage site. Hikers will love it, with the gorilla excursion as a high point of your safari! The gorilla excursion can take from 2 up to 8 hours.

On this 3 day Uganda safari, you shall trek one of the 12 habituated mountain gorilla groups located in the over 25,000 year old Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, a world heritage site. Besides the gorillas, expect other 11 primates including baboons, the red tailed monkeys, black and white colobus . This forest has 120 mammals, 310 butterfly species, 51 reptiles, 27 species of frogs, geckos, chameleons and 350 species of birds!

The Uganda Gorilla tracking activity starts at 8:30 am local time and lasts the whole day.
After the search for Gorillas, you are supposed to watch them for only an hour once they have been tracked.
The Gorilla Tracking trek in Bwindi is tedious in this regard tourists are therefore urged to be physically fit and carry jungle boots and rain jackets along with them because the forest is always wet.

3 DAY UGANDA GORILLA SAFARI – BWINDI TREKKING SAFARIS

Arrival

• You’ll be collected from the airport (or hotel).

Day 1: KAMPALA – BWINDI NATIONAL PARK

Our safari guide will pick you from your hotel for a morning departure for Bwindi Impenetrable national park located in the south western part of Uganda. Have a stopover at the craft village to have a look at the local arts and crafts and at the Uganda Equator for pictures and a brief shopping. You will have lunch in Mbarara and later proceed through the beautiful evergreen terraced mountain countryside referred to as the “Little Switzerland of Africa”. Arriving by late evening check in at the lodge and later have dinner and an overnight at Buhoma Homestead/Buhoma Community Bandas

Day 2: GORILLA TREKKING TOURS

After an early break fast report at the park for a briefing by park ranger guides on how the gorilla tracking safaris is to be conducted. The destination guide will lead you in the memorable trek within the magnificent verdant Bwindi Impenetrable forest to find the Mountain gorillas. Apart from the mountain gorillas, the park has 90 mammal species, including 11 primates, as well as a number of birds with 23 highly localized Albertine Rift endemics present. After a full hour with the gorillas, you can go for a community visit if time permits or relax at the lodge. Dinner and overnight accommodation at Buhoma Homestead/Buhoma Community Bandas

Day 3: RETURN TO KAMPALA FROM THE SAFARI

After breakfast, transfer to Mbarara for lunch and later depart for Kampala arriving late in the evening.
